  • A nearby subway station (Bukhansan Bogungmun) is a 5-minute walk from PuzzleStay House.

Seongbuk Latin American Festival 2017

The Latin American Festival 2017 will be take place in our neighborhood on June 10. Through this event, you can interact with many foreigners residing in Korea and experience traditional foods, special products and traditional folk performances of each country.

This festival takes place around June every year and 12 countries will participate in the festival this year. (Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil, Spain, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru)

Seongbuk Global Food Festival 2017

The 9th Seongbuk Global Food Festival 2017 will be take place in our neighborhood on May 21. The Festival is held to enhance the opportunities for interaction through various foods between foreign community members in Seongbuk-dong, the location of 36 international embassies in Korea.

This festival takes place around May every year and 15 embassies will participate in the festival this year. (Slovakia, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Poland, Pakistan, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, Morocco, Ethiopia, Kenya, Ecuador, Paraguay, Guatemala, the Philippines)

Royal Culture Festival (Apr. 30 - May. 7)

The opening ceremony of ‘The 3rd ROYAL CULTURE FESTIVAL 2017’ will be take place in the frontyard of Heungnyemun Gate in Gyeongbokgung Palace on April 28. The Festival that will infuse new life to the palace which has contained the time of the past and the present and a historical and cultural presence.

Gyeongbokgung and Changgyeonggung, royal palaces from Joseon dynasty (1392-1910), will open at night starting April, 2017.

The palaces will be open for a night tour from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. between Apr. 16 and Apr. 27 and close on Tuesdays and Mondays, respectively.
The National Palace Museum of Korea in the Gyeongbokgung will also be run until 9:30 p.m. No entry is allowed after 9 p.m. The entrance fee is KRW 3,000 and KRW 1,000 for Gyeongbokgung and Changgyeonggung, respectively.

If you miss them this time, the night-openings will continue in the summer.
The second round is set to run from July 16 to July 29, the third from Aug.20 to Sep.2 and the final late-opening of the year from Sep. 17 to Sep. 30.

Foreign visitors are advised to make purchases on the spot.

Spring Flowers and Greenery in Seoul

Seoul’s spring flower festivals are one of many reasons to look forward to springtime in Seoul. April in the city means fragrant flowers are blossoming everywhere, and bright greenery abounds after a cold winter. Enjoy the city’s greenery and visit Seoul’s colorful flower festivals in April.

The Yeouido Spring Flower Festival will take place in the Yeouiseo-ro area from April 1st to April 9th, 2017. Visitors will see tens of thousands of fragrant flowers in bloom. There are 13 varieties of flowers and roughly 87,859 blooms in the Yeouiseo-ro area.    (Repost @visitseoul.net)

1st class domestic and foreign cultural assets are being exhibited in special exhibition room of National Museum of Korea until November 23rd (Wed).
Art works from various countries are available within the theme of “changes of Arts through modernism”. (Repost @iloveseoulstay)

Korean institutions such as the Kansong Art and Culture Foundation, Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art, and the Seoul Museum of History loaned works. Internationally, the Liaoning Museum of China, the National Museum of Japanese History, and the Hamburg Museum of Ethnology also loaned works to complete this fascinating exhibition of life in a growing urban space.

VISIT SEOUL - Seoul Lantern Festival 2016

Visit the colorful Seoul Lantern Festival, taking place along Cheonggyecheon Stream in Seoul.

There are activities open for public participation, such as putting up a wish lantern, hanging a wish note, and more. There will also be food stalls and food trucks operating throughout the festival!
